Urban Slice House, Rajagiriya
This project, an urban home has been infused with a sense of openness and the notion of garden living that belies its compactness (14 perch).). The living spaces within this inward looking urban house are linearly intersected by gardens and ponds. The residents are transported into a more tranquil realm as all the spaces within the house retain perpetual connections with the water, skies and gardens. This house draws inspiration from the older vernacular street fronting homes of Sri Lanka. The wood lattices throughout the house enable the creation of an ambient environment, the interior and exterior share a seamless connection allowing for a garden like experience throughout.
